There are so many great picture books about music! It’s hard to choose just a few, but here are some of our favorites.
In “The Jazz Fly,” a little fly named Jax loves jazz music. He’s always tapping his feet and humming along, and he loves to watch the jazz musicians play. One day, he gets his chance to join in the fun when he meets a friendly horn player who invites him to sit in on a jam session.
“Dancing Shoes” is a delightful story about a young girl named Lizzy who loves to dance. She’s always twirling and tapping her feet, and she dreams of being a professional dancer one day. When she gets her first pair of dancing shoes, she can’t wait to start practicing. But she soon discovers that dancing isn’t always easy – it takes a lot of hard work and dedication.
“The Drum” is a fun and interactive book that introduces young readers to the different sounds that drums can make. With bright illustrations and easy-to-understand text, this book is perfect for music lovers of all ages.
“Beethoven Lives Upstairs” is a touching story about a boy named Christopher who develops a close relationship with his upstairs neighbor, Mr. H, who just happens to be the great composer Ludwig van Beethoven. Through their conversations, Christopher comes to understand and appreciate Beethoven’s music in a whole new way.
